Robotic fabrication was done using clay molds and finishing with concrete to create two different products – the tiles and columns. Act one was designing various stamps and tweaking the grasshopper script to change the robot’s speed, depth, and rotation angle to create different designs and patterns on the clay mold. The prepped and stamped clay tile was then put in a framework for concrete pouring and post-drying, the mold was removed, and the concrete was cleaned. Act two was a similar process of using clay and concrete as materials and the robot arm for 3D printing. However, the installation part was explored to make a standing structure and a monumental column.
