This project was a three-bedroom apartment that incorporated separate spheres for a young couple’s various activities. As a result of this unit’s poor natural lighting, the apartment needed a touch of colors in its interior. Because of specific spaces, it needed a strong definition for these different areas, while remaining multi-functional and flexible.

This main room was divided into three parts, kitchen, dining and living area. Then a corridor was formed along the divided spaces.  During this process, constraints and requirements were the motives for each spheres’ setting. The main obstacles were the kitchen’s electrical and mechanical constraints and the TV installation in a structural wall.

After defining every different sphere, virtual partitions were made by minimizing physical dividers; the virtual partitions being created by suspended ceilings, counters and furniture. The suspended ceilings encompassed multifunction panels for decorating and lighting. The shelves with their modular parts were individually created for maximum storage, to not only compliment the horizontal mechanical covers but to cast cove lighting over walls and furniture.

Some portable cases were designed for covering the splits and radiators that have perforated tracks for heat convection and air circulation.

The lighting designs used consist of several types of lighting; ambient light that is provided by pendant lights, decorative cove lighting that is generated by SMD lights, wall washing light that is produced by

halogen lights and spotlighting in the shelves that is realized by LED lights.

The three rooms are a master bedroom, a guest room and a den.

The guest room is furnished by a convertible bed as well as necessary multi-purposes shelving. Suspended ceilings were coordinated with special dimensional lights.
